Engagement model

How API Arc Consulting runs scoped API projects and advisory retainers from Malaysia.

How we structure paid work

Every engagement is confirmed in writing before billable work begins. That confirmation lists deliverables, assumptions, fees, and payment milestones. We do not start production integration changes on verbal requests alone.

Scoped project path

  1. Intake — You share architecture diagrams, sample payloads, and constraints (compliance, uptime windows, languages).
  2. Proposal — We return a statement of work with fixed fee or capped time-and-materials, estimated calendar duration, and review gates.
  3. Execution — Contract-first artifacts land in your repository or wiki; working sessions follow Malaysia Time unless another zone is agreed.
  4. Closure — Handover pack includes decision log, open risks, and recommended monitoring checks.

Advisory retainer path

Retainers reserve a predictable number of hours per month for reviews, spike investigations, and stakeholder workshops. Unused hours may roll forward only if your contract explicitly allows it.

Collaboration tools

We adapt to your toolchain: Git hosting, ticket systems, and chat channels you already operate. We do not require a proprietary portal.

On-site and remote

Primary operations are from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Workshops can be held on-site in Sabah or conducted remotely with shared whiteboards and recorded notes.

Quality and independence

Recommendations are based on your requirements and industry practice. We do not accept referral fees from vendors we mention in architecture options.
